Disc padlocks for self storage units
A disc padlock protects the shackle inside a hardened body, which makes it far harder to attack with bolt cutters than a standard padlock. For storage units that means less theft risk — and less time spent on unit security.

Fit and compatibility
- Designed for standard self-storage unit doors fitted with a hasp or padlock eye.
- Body diameter and shackle clearance must suit your hasp — send a photo and we confirm with a physical sample.
- On doors with a cylinder cut-out instead of a hasp, use a cylinder lock rather than a padlock.
- For exposed or coastal sites, specify SS304 and confirm the finish in writing.
Fit confirmed by sample, not by drawing. Send a door photo, the cylinder size or the mounting dimensions and we will send a physical sample before you commit to a quantity.

Buyer questions
Which key system should I choose for unit locks?
It depends on how the facility issues locks. Keyed alike suits a defined group of units under one operator. Keyed different gives maximum tenant separation. A master key suits any site where a manager has to open units without the tenant key. Tell us your unit count and we will propose a plan.
Will the lock fit my hasp?
Send a photo of the door and hasp, or the hasp dimensions. We confirm body diameter and shackle clearance with a physical sample before you commit to a quantity.
SS201 or SS304?
SS201 for indoor units and covered corridors. SS304 for exposed outdoor and coastal locations. Both are legitimate — using one grade everywhere is what causes premature replacement. Tell us where the units are.
What actually stops a disc padlock from being cut?
The shackle sits inside the hardened body, and the body turns around it, so a blade cannot reach the shackle in a straight line. On a standard padlock the shackle is the exposed part, which is what makes it the weak point.
Can you quote a unit price for a specific quantity?
Yes. Give us the model, the quantity and the delivery term and the quotation will carry a unit price for that exact configuration, so two options can be compared on the same basis.
